Just read issue 2 and I really liked it, nice to see a big name artist on the title again. Just hope abomination gets his mind back soon.

So what's the gimmick with this new reboot? Something about the Hulk psyche again has changed?

Dunno. I haven't been to the comic store since February. If I can wake up early enough tomorrow, I can go in before work and pick the latest issues.

-Banner gets shot in the head
    - undergoes surgery
    - organization tries to implant something to control him
    - banner wakes up and hulks out while his brain is still exposed
    - hulk escapes and jumps away with pieces of his brain falling out along the way.
    - now banner is mentally retarded

SHot should have made him Hulk out, and whouldnt healing factor fix the brain issues right away though?

I wanted to like the Indestructible Hulk series. I really liked the idea of "Hulk destroys, Banner builds" but how they handled the series after the first few issues went horribly wrong IMO. They had me until the Gods and Monsters story and after that it went down hill for me. I still picked up every issue hoping it would improve but it didn't. The chronarchist thing was stupid and so was the whole story.

I like this new series so far and I'm trying to overlook some issues like the healing factor and whatnot but seeing Banner holding an ice cream cone with ice cream all over his hand and with a toy plane is...a bit more than I can handle but we'll see how it goes. I think it'll be better than the last series once we get past the first story.

How does the new series connect to the recent events of New Avengers/Avengers?

Does the new series happen after or before Banner joins the *SPOILERS*Illuminati?

My natural assumption is to say that "Hulk" takes place after. That it's kinda a bit ahead of the other titles, a bit like Fantastic Four.

So far, I'm liking the new relaunch.
I'm hoping that Bagley stays for more than a handful of issues, though. Still burned about the Silvestri "streak" from the Aaron run.

I totally agree, his skull and brain should have healed when he hulked out.

I agree, it was a completely different book after the first story arc. I loved Leinil Yu's work.
