Big fan of Bryan Fullers shows. I hope this doesn't dilute his work on Hannibal.

Yeah, I don't know what "American Gods" is, so I'm more worried about Hannibal.

I bought the book and just couldn't read it. I found it to be utter filth.

Would you mind expanding on that. What didn't you like? Am I missing something?

Fantastic news. I kind of wish they were doing Constantine.

The sex to be honest. The opening scene and I'm pretty sure there was more in the early part of the book. I don' t mind sex. I like game of thrones. I just found american gods to be gratuitous.(sp) I'm fickle what can I say.

Finally a new show I'm interested in. At the least, Starz will allow a faithful adaptation but I still haven't seen Starz make a "good" show.

You must rectify this! Then follow it up with "Anansi Boys" which is a spin-off sequel of sorts and is my personal favorite of the two. "American Gods" is a fantastic book, one of the best things I've read from Gaiman IMO.

    From wiki...

The central premise of the novel is that gods and mythological creatures exist because people believe in them (a form of thoughtform). Immigrants to the United States brought with them spirits and gods. However, the power of these mythological beings has diminished as people's beliefs wane. New gods have arisen, reflecting America's obsessions with media, celebrity, technology, and drugs, among others.
Also, sex is a part of life. If people can stand violence no problem, it's an issue if sex is that much of an issue in literature/art. And if I recall, it wasn't like the sex took away from the story, it helped establish and add nuances to what was going on with the characters. And man, the prostitute scene was like one of the very first chapters. So much wonderful things happen after that scene.
