The impression I get is that information she uses makes the leap into her real, permanent memories, but talents and deeper memories poof.

So she has a selective memory that might delay and reawaken when needed? In the next episode she learns Kung Fu but maybe she'll only use it when in a fight.
Episode 6 entitled Virtual Reality Bites, with a computer hacker and more, and synopsis is here:

Did everybody forget about this show? AFAIAC, it gets better every episode. I'm even starting to like Major now.

Watched it today morning.
I was wondering about other zombies not having any visions...thought Liv might be special. Glad to know that that has been answered...not ending the episode with the perpetrator caught sort of bugged me..but I am glad that they are moving towards an extending arc, as supposed to moving from story to story (I am still suspicious of her new boyfriend).
Oh, and the head detective (or Lt?) of homicide division is a Zombie! That's cool...seems like zombies are becoming the norm (or maybe not - would love to see other human beings discovering the existence of zombies).
DC Extended Universe Thread (DCEU)
That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness. That turns good men....Cruel - Alfred.
This may be the only thing that I do that matters - Bruce.
Stay down, if I wanted it, you would be dead already - Clark.
This was another good episode. I hope the new zombie guy turns out to actually be a decent person. Whether he plays the love interest or not, I liked him and hope to see more. Major came off as a bad ass and it will be cool to see how he will fit in to the rest of the plot.

I wish Flash and Arrow had a similar intro to this, not a fan of just the title screen that only really works for SPN. As for the episode, great as always!
But Is Major dead? I was left confused on that.
"Yes...Mondo Cool"- Vegeta.
i thought it was obvious that the killer was killed herself. caught by surprise, killed, wrapped in the missing shower curtain, and taken away never to be seen again. clive pretty much comes up to that conclusion and hints to it when talking to his zombie boss
major isn't dead, he just got knocked the eff out. it was funny watching them skateboard around his body

I personally like both shows, though I believe iZombie came out of the box in better shape than Constantine did.

I'm annoyed they decided to straight wash this show.
The comic had her brother and her best friend being gay, and eventually a couple. This show made her brother a straight perv and ditched the best friend (who was also a were-terrier) all together.
It's a decent show, and I tend to enjoy it, but it's iZombie in name only.
