Default Jungle Book, Petes' Dragon And More Changes Dates

    http://screenrant.com/ghost-shell-ju...ate-2016-2017/

The release dates for Disneys' The Jungle Book, live action remake, The Finest Hours, Ghost In The Shell (Scarlett Johannsson) and more have been changed, and revealed.

Nice to know Scarlett will have twice as much next year, with The Jungle Book and Ghost In The Shell next year both.

Hopefully it'll be a banner year for her, whether people like her casting in GITS, if she's remembered for TJB, or she plays Black Widow at some point. Might, might not, that year.

Delighted that in 2016 we'll be getting a new Jungle Book film from Jon Favreau, and in 2017, a new one from Andy Serkis. One, with Idris Elba as Shere Khan, the other with Benedict Cumberbatch in the role.

It'll be a nice treat and interesting to see if a non-animated Jungle Book'll work for me, and if these two versions are different enough to be worth watching, both from that and each other.

That same year, in a film with Robert Redford, the forest being threatened, Pete orphaned and a dragon having raised him, is Petes' Dragon, a brand new, remake of the 70s' Disney film.

Maybe there'll be more singing, maybe there'll be less. But the premise sounds different enough to perhaps make it worth doing, and with some star talent, other than Redford even, involved. Hopefully Disney won't be wearing themselves out with remakes, ah, that year? Plus, two Marvel films, a new Disney animated film - Moana - a Star Wars spin off and likely more.

Yeah, it'll be an interesting year.

Here are the dates, from Screen Rant:

The Finest Hours arrives in theaters on October 9th, 2015, followed by The Jungle Book on April 15th, 2016, Pete’s Dragon on August 12th, 2016, and Ghost in the Shell on April 14th, 2017.
