Actually, I was referring to the idea as to how the X-Men was in the early 1980's when it was just one book and not the 5-6 X-titles there are now. Ironic that Spider-Man had 4 comic book titles at that time(including Marvel Team-Up), only to be reduce to one book.

I think that's Angel, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Kitty and Storm

My favorite era, my favorite cast, my favorite writer, my favorite artist - I won't be forgetting them any time soon. Now if we can get a Smith drawn Uncanny 171, all will be right

No one remembers the guy with the wings, unfortunately. The other four seem to be doing okay.

I vaguely remember the one with the white hair. The rest are foreign to me.

Good cast, better after the whole crazy Rogue and LimboYana junk. The Outback cast is still my fave.

The team from giant size #1 through about uncanny 175 or so was perfect to me.

I think the outcast team is my probably my favorite, too! I really wish that era could have gone on longer before it was mandated that they return to the mansion and bring the Prof back from space. Crazy brawler Rogue, more-than-a-sex-symbol Psylocke, depressed artist Colossus, slightly bitchy leader Storm, Longshot and Dazzler finding their place, Havok getting with his brother's ex, Wolverine being there but not being at the center of every plot...What more do you want?

For me it was always Giant-sized #1 through that era. Then it was Jim Lee X-men#1 from the 90's that were 'MY' X-men.

Really didn't care for the Outback years, or pretty much anything past Xcutioner's song...
