It definitely gets better. I stopped watching if for a bit as I too was unimpressed with the first few episodes. I went back and gave it a second chance and it gets much, much better. My inner fan boy regularly goes "Squeee!" when watching the show now.

As to the Flash trailer, looks fun. I'll give it a go.

It showed how the speed effects will be done. I have to say, they look a lot better than I thought that they would (especially on a TV show budget).

Wasn't a trailer, but more of a tease aperantlly.
And for somone who hasn't been keeping up or had time to watch Arrow (like me), it showed:
The costume in motion. (Which I had never seen)
How the speed effects might look. (Which I had never seen)
And the character's personality, specifically his approach towards the power, his enthusiasm how he will interact with it. (Which again I had never seen)
Those are pretty huge and with very little say allot.

I was all set to hate the guy playing The Flash. After all, he looks so young! And he's from Glee!

But his appearances on Arrow immediately won me over and his total enthusiasm as The Flash in this teaser has me super psyched.

It helps that Arrow has just wrapped an amazing season as well.

I'm still meh about the suit and I still really don't like Barry's Nu-origin but, if the full trailer is any indication, this show looks like it might be a lot of fun. But hey, it's not like I was ever not going to check out a new TV show with my favourite superhero!

Love the scene on the roof: "...I think it chose you, ...cause you can inspire people."

I love Barry Allen.
