Default Jason Fabok Killed It On Justice League #36

So the premise of the issue wasn't bad but I'd say the real star of the show was Fabok's art and man can he draw one helluva Wonder Woman. I'd say it's the better depiction of her we've gotten in Justice League and also better than what was in Wonder Woman #36.

    What did y'all think?

Does she have more than 2 lines in the book?

I have long wanted Fabok to take over the pencilling chores for WW's book. He does an exceptional Diana. Plus I love his rendition of her costume.

She was definitely more of a background character in this issue but I expect there to be more of a focus on her throughout the arc since out of the entire League her, Batman, Superman and Luthor are not infected by the virus.

Also it sounds like there should be some interesting interaction between her and Luthor:

Batman and Luthor have been at odds as their dynamic has become one of the focal points of Justice League, and while the former bad guy constantly feels like Wonder Woman is judging him, she's actually the one hero willing to give him a chance to redeem himself.

"He's going to soon realize that she is a potential ally in a bizarre way," Johns says of Luthor. "Even after all the things he's done, she's still willing to say there's good in this guy and he'll do the right thing. But she'll have her hand on her lasso the whole time to make sure that happens."

So sounds like I was right to drop Justice League.

Sounds like Johns is only interested in writing Diana's compassionate, forgiving side when it gives him an excuse to have her kissing Lex's ass.

Ten-to-one? Once Lex reverts to type, Diana goes right back to being a violent savage and tries to rip Lex's guts out and eat them for betraying her.

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next and I agree, Fabok draws a fantastic Wonder Woman!

The costume rendition alone made this the superior WW this week.

I love Fabok's Wonder Woman(especially his costume redesign). Hopefully he becomes the regular penciller of Wonder Woman after Finch leaves.

Hmm...I dunno. I thought it looked like an attempt to start making WW's current look edge closer towards the upcoming Gal Gadot movie version...It was a gorgeous drawing though, heh.

That said...I really want to see more Luthor-Diana interactions. They tend to be pretty special moments, for the rarity of them.

This. Exactly this! And the irony is that Fabok was his student right?

As for the suit, i think they're trying to copy Gal Gadot's suit a bit. The skirt and armband/bracelets are similar. Hell, the skirt is even better than Gadot's that looks like some rat chewed on it and randomly cut it to shreds.
