Love basically everything about this. I'm a history buff, and Shanghai in the 20s is one of the world's great forgotten cities. And the supernatural aspect sounds dope - and the art!

I've never read any of Liu's work, but I'm going to pick up the first issue if for no other reason than the art. The pics included with the interview look fantastic.

Great idea and I enjoyed the creative team previous Marvel work. So I cannot wait to see how this will turn out for Image.

I think much of that art looks a little too detailed and elaborate to be interiors, but if it's any indication, this will be gorgeous.

I like what Liu's saying. You can tell the story means something to her on a personal level and that usually leads to better work. I like the 1920s Shanghai setting and the plot with monsters developing psychic connections with people has potential. Definitely looking forward to this, one of the better announcements of the last Image expo. Liu was a great pickup for Image. As much as I like another BKV book, another Brandon Graham project, they need new voices.
    Image Comics (TPB):
Saga, Southern Bastards, Injection, Descender, Deadly Class, Chew, Black Magick

    DC Rebirth (Digital):
The Flash, Batman, Green Lanterns, Aquaman

Looking forward to this. X-23 7 was actually the first individual issue I ever bought, and it was written and drawn by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda. Even ignoring that, this just sounds like fun.

A supernatural story set in 1920's Shanghai. This sounds cool. Count me in. The best announcement from the Image Expo for me.
