Default Name the best and worst X-Men games

    Best ones:

    Wolverine X-Men Origins for PS3.
    X-Men Arcade.
    X-Men 1 & 2 for Genesis.
X-Men: Age of Apocalypse for SNES.
X-Men Children of the Atom for arcade and Saturn. (Haven't played the PS1 version as i heard it sucked)
    X-Men Mutant Academy for PS1.
    X-Men Legends 1 & 2 for PS2 and Gamecube.
Marvel vs. Capcom for all systems.
Street Fighter vs. X-Men for all systems and Arcade.
    X-Men Dimensions for Gamecube.
    Marvel Alliance for Playstation 2.

    Fair:
    Marvel Alliance 2 for PS3 and Xbox360.
Wolverine's Revenge for PS2 and Xbox.

    Medicore:
Wolverine for NES. (An improvement over the horrible LJN X-Men game but at least it was playable but i didn't like how if you use your claws it can drain your life for you have to kick and punch instead, medicore i say)
    X-Men for Gamegear.
X-Men: Wolverine Adamantium Rage for SNES and Genesis.

    Worst:
    X-Men for NES.
X-Men/Spider-Man: Arcade's Revenge for SNES and Genesis.
X-Men The Official Game for any system.

    Best: X-Men Arcade
Runner-up: X-Men Apocalypse Quake mod. (So many hours wasted - this is a personal pick - first X-men themed anything I ever played, so I'm bias... )

    Ok:
The Legends games were fine. I need to go back and play some of the hacked/modded versions that might be floating around.

    Worst: X-men for the NES.
Worst (personally): X-Men Destiny - for pure lack of inspiration and dullness. So much potential wasted. Making an uninspired piece of trash is so much worse than just making a bad game.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: in case you didn't know, you can download the xmen arcade game from the play station network, or on your iPad or iPhone.

Anywho as to the question, I personally loved:
    X-men legends 1 and 2
    Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
    Xmen Arcade
    Marvel Heroes (current pic mmorpg)
    Marvel vs Capcom 3

Definitely X-Men Legends I and II with the second being the best.

Funny that I actually just found my Gamecube yesterday and played a little of X-men Legends (I was looking for 2 but I couldn't find the disk). I love those games. It bums me out that they never made a 3 with an Ultimate Alliance sized cast of characters.

I also remember when those games were first coming out the announcements being like "Over 15 playable characters!" when it was like 15 + Xavier for 2 missions.

Best: of course the X-Men Legends Game
Worst: X-Men Destiny, let's make an x-men game where you can't play as the actual x-men, you can't even use their powers

I was just thinking of how great the X-Men Legends game is! The second being the far superior one, even better than the following Ultimate Alliance games.

Fall of the Mutants was my 'first' X-Men game and I didn't know anything while playing it.

The original Arcade game is classic, I wished it played better on the Kindle Fire.

The X-Men movie that 'bridges' X-Men 1 and 2 is fun, just for the Nightcrawler levels. Iceman's were a tad redundant.

I really dug the Wolverine Origins Uncaged games. Though I still don't' get if a guy has killed 100 soldiers, why do a 100 more keep coming at him? I would just go home.

"X-Men" on the Genesis remains one of my all-time favorite games, although I still can't beat that last level (can't even get to Magneto).

The "X-Men: Legends" series is good. I'd like another one, truth be told.

And I wish I'd downloaded the arcade game to my PS3 when I'd had the chance.
