    I think my major problems are with books that:

    1) Tell the same stories over and over again with slight variations;

    2) Have "stories" that are pretty much little more than connective tissue between fight scenes;

    3) Have artists who can depict nothing but fighting, so a character walking down the steet looks like they're in a fight, eating looks like a fight, kissing looks like a fight, etc.

    4) Have little ambition beyond keeping a franchise going (see #1).

    These tend to plague your average superhero book more than anything else, but it's hardly unique to that genre.

    Pretty much anything by Ellis, Millar, Miller, Brubaker, Fraction, and several others.
    Anything too grim or realistic.
    Anything at all supportive of squirrels or squirrely rights.
    Anything about Jenkins' Sentry.

    And megadestruction (any destructions on citywide scales or higher) turns me way off.
    I think you and I might have a lot in common, lol.

    Actual content, mostly. I should have specified. Although some of the production methods are questionable.

    Pretty much any book starring the Punisher. I just have a strong distaste for the character.

    Large, universe encompassing crossovers that interrupt ongoing storylines and result in some unnecessary death.

    Any comic that seems to be driven more by editorial edict then any artistic vision that the creators have. We've all read them comics that seem to exist only as lead ups to some massive uber crossover that's going to "change everything"(not really). It's even worse when the mega crossover doesn't deliver.

    Grant Morrison is hugely overrated.

    Hee...shows how diverse we can be as a community. Punisher is my 2nd favourite after Spidey...but then I have a soft spot for vigilantes.

    A lot of Punisher love in...of all places...American Sniper

    Books where Villains are the good guys. Anti-heroes. Not that I hate those books..just I have an Aversion to them unless they are really well written.

    Moral Ambiguity is so easy to do, the standard for good stories is kind of low--most of the time--shock replaces story.

    Oh and comics with lots of Gore not named Al.

    1. Anything ever written by Keith Giffen.
    2. Any and all books that rely upon cutesy rumor...which leads to...
    3. pretty much everything Marvel publishes. Gimmickry and juvenile humor and nothing much else (although Ellis' Moon Knight arc was decent).
    4. Superheroes in general (excluding Valiant).
    5. Pretty much all X-titles post-Claremont.
    6. The vast majority of manga. The art is very often stellar but the stories and dialog are so ridiculous.
    7. Anything that concentrates upon Power Girl's huge breasts.
    8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
    9. For the most part, Matt Fraction.

    Any team book that has a mob scene for membership. I didn't like LOSH for that reason and I'm really beginning to lose interest with the Avengers.
