What I found interesting was that the list was mostly a "kill" list and most everything was closing doors instead of opening new ones.

Dc probably just needs good writers who can tell good stories without the need to rely on mutilating characters and or killing characters. Maybe rely more on reboots to boost sales rather than on gimmick deaths and beheadings.
