Holy ****...

What the hell kinda roller coaster did I just watch? The whole world just got turned upside fucking down in 50 minutes.

Even the Investors are gone, and we never exactly learned what they were.

Still trying to wrap my head around who was playing who exactly. Was Killinger working with the sovereign to reform the guild, or working against and just piggybacking on his plan for his own purposes? Was the bird shot accidentally supposed to be the Sovereign?

Well that was glorious. I love how they were able to include so many of the characters without it feeling like they shoehorned them all in. Jonas Jr's sacrifice at the end was actually kind of touching. Interesting new status quo to start the new season. I think I'll have to watch it again just so I don't miss anything.

Be sure to watch the Special Epilogue if you haven't already. It also includes a season 6 teaser.

By pure coincidence, I started rewatching all the episodes and commentaries around Christmastime (I didn't even realize this special was scheduled until I'd gotten about halfway through). And thank god I did, I wouldn't have wanted to miss one of the innumerable nuances or callbacks this hour contained.

Now there's just one thing I wanna know (that won't be picked up in Season 6): the Investors were all meant to sound like Draculas. One was Lugosi, one was Gary Oldman, but I couldn't recognize the third. Didn't sound like Christopher Lee. Frank Langella?

The weird thing about that is that one of the Investors dies (I guess) when accidentally struck by one of his allies sith lightsabers, so you kinda wonder how that was approximated in the mind battle. Was that him deflecting psychic energy from one of them at another or something?

Kinda weird thinking that might be it for the Sovereign. Or maybe not, his fate is kinda unknown since we don't know how powerful he is, but then you have to ask why bother to show him get shot in the first place if it won't matter.

Who do you think is supposed to sit on the new Council of 13? Sounds like Killinger was denying Monarch, so...Dr. Mrs, Phantom Limb, Underbeight. Maybe Dr. Z and the two headed guy are still in good standing with Killinger.

Holy moley this special episode EVERYTHING and more.

The Game has changed, and I thought certain people were not going to make it. Such rich history tapped in so many wonderful ways.
