Default "This is going to be your Spider-Man."

    At 26:06:

Axel Alonso: "This is going to be your book. This is your Spider-Man."

    Yay!

    <3

I've been saying that since OMD!

    EDIT:

I should've added a poll... sorry, was just too excited. ;P

    Wow.

This might actually get me to buy a Spider-Man book for the first time sine OMD.

Now, all that needs to happen is to have this Spider-Man replace the current joke, and I may even go back to being a regular reader again.

Not holding my breath on that last one, though.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

saying “this is your book…your spider-man” is a pretty big concession from marvel. the implication is that what is currently being published is not “yours”.

Slott's been quite deliberately meta about this in Spider-Verse too, only he used Mayday as a mouthpiece for it (my dad was the real one/mom would never leave him)

    I guess I'm the only one who doesn't want a married Spider-Man...

We've had one in all the years the Mephistoverse era has been published anyway (daily strip), it's not like he's been missed at all

Eh...I kinda don't either. Not if it's some magic "Oh hey, look. They're married again!" If they realized their love for each other and decided to tie the knot, then I'd be fine with it though.

I wouldn't really mind that either, but I started reading post-OMD, so I've never seen Peter and MJ in a relationship, let alone being on the road to getting married.

I don't think it's a concession at all. If you want a cheeseburger from McDonald's and I bring you one from Sonic, I can still say this is your cheeseburger. It's just the one I've chosen to give you and you have to take it or leave it.

It also may be in reference to having more than one SPider-Man running around when the event is over. This is your book, Your Spider-Man for fans of Peter.

I think they're using "your Spider-Man" to refer to the Spider-Man being published at any point. The Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man right now is your Spider-Man, as is the one in Renew Your Vows, as is whatever we'll get Post-Secret Wars.
    Sincerely,

Wouldn't be too worried. That's simply 616 Spidey in the teaser. So Axel isn't lying, per se.

It's gonna be a few tears after RYV ends. Should be fun.
