Ultimate X-men replacing MU X-men?

If Marvel are going to follow through and truly replace some 616 X-men with Ultimate X-men, who would they pick that people actually care about? Can you think of any examples of an Ultimate X-men character who is worth supplanting their MU counterpart?

Somebody help me out here, I'm having a difficult time thinking of even one.

Maybe Kitty Pryde since her the Ultimate version of her is such an important character in the UU

None of the Ultimate versions are better than the 616 versions...and most of the counterparts are dead anyway...they won't be replacing everyone...some of the ones that don't have direct counterparts will carry over and the rest will mostly just be 616.

Exactly. I'd rather them take interesting versions from across the Multiverse as opposed to just what's left of the Ultimate U. For example, Ultimate Kitty Pryde and Jean Grey, Old Man Logan, AoA Cyclops (is he still alive?), etc.

AoA Cyclops was brought back and unceremoniously killed off again in that terrible AoA ongoing...but that doesn't necessarily hold to whatever version of AoA they use for this.

I'd like to see this kind of thing as a new Exiles team...but not as a new universe.

I don't think Ult. Storm was an original X-Man...I think the O5 were just the O2 (Scott & Jean) in the Ultimate books.

I also don't see the line up of the originals changing as I highly doubt Bendis will be done with the O5 before all this happens.

Bendis also told there was something coming down the line called “The Utopians” which will have some female X-Men and other mutants readers haven’t seen yet.
