That unfortunately is how comics work. At times a book makes it or breaks it before it even hits the stands.

Still it's an indicator of both interest and availability. The sales numbers of the 2nd issue may be a better indicator of how this book will perform but still ... it's off to as good a start as you can hope for.

True enough, but even though what you say is true, these kinds of preorders can still be seen as a decent gauge of potential sales - seems like a lot of people are interested in the book.

With that said, it might be that Marvel has some kind of loot-crate deal going on again, which they've had for most of their recent big sellers - that usually means the book already has a lot of orders anyway tho', hence why it ends up in Loot-crate or what-have-you.

Although I'm know these numbers are not sustainable, so long as the quality is there, I'm expecting this series to do gangbusters in trades.
