    Bendis pretty much hit every MAJOR person on my personal wish list... Luke Cage, Storm, Dr. Strange and Spider-Man (though Spidey sort of was an Avenger beforehand).

    Exactly. IMO all of these teams have kind of diluted the notion that being an Avenger was truly something special. The title essentially means "you are a character in the Marvel Universe" now, as opposed to "you are a very special character whose personality, powers and philosophy align with other very special characters".
