Default Comic series/runs that ended too soon

    Inspired by this post.

    My picks:

    - Courtney Crumrin: Amazing and little known series. Ted Naifeh created an incredible little world that could have been explored more.

    - Immortal Iron Fist: Brubaker and/or Fraction should have resolved the 33º-birthday-curse and the Eight City storylines.
    - Nova and GotG by DnA
    - Punisher by Greg Rucka: What a cool, relatively fresh take on the Punisher this was!
    - Cable & Deadpool: Just finished the omnibus and man, was it good. Fifty issues is a good run, but I keep thinking where would Nicieza go with the book, had it not ended.
    - Superior Foes of Spider-Man: Such a great series.
    - The current She-Hulk ongoing.

    - Crossing Midnight: Great Vertigo series by Mike Carey, exploring the japanese folklore.
    - Terminal City: Technically not ended, but still.
    - Air: Very underrated comic
    - Hard Time: This series was so mind-blowingly good, and had so much potential left when writer/creator Steve Gerber wrapped it up.

    - Batgirl by Bryan Q. Miller
    - Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka: Sadly abbreviated by Infinite Crisis
    - Power Girl by Palmiotti, Gray and Conner
    - Checkmate by Greg Rucka
    - Gotham Central: This is the poster child of this topic!

The Emma Frost solo run ended really early, it ended as it hit it's stride pretty much, which is really sad.

Totally agree on the Rucka Punisher run, man that was awesome. I also miss Chris Yost's Scarlet Spider and Avenging Spider-Man a lot.

I was hugely disappointed the Jason Aaron PunisherMax series ended when it did but it was apparently envisioned as 22 issues.

Delighted to see it in Omnibus though...it can be nipped in the mid $60 range...

I wish OMAC by Giffen had lasted longer, his other series with the rogue Green Lantern, and now his, if I read right, JLA 3000? I would like a Nu 52 Keith Giffen Omnibus.

Actually I loved Demon Knights and I Vampire too!

Gerber's Omega the Unknown... the world will never know how he intended it to end.

Also: Remender's Doctor Voodoo. One of the most fun modern Marvel comics ever.
currently reading: Dept. H, Hellboy in Hell, Kaijumax, Moon Knight

The Shadow, by Andy Helfer, Kyle Baker, Bill Sienkiewicz, Marshall Rogers et al, cancelled 1989): What a creative team, huh? Spinning out Howard Chaykin's controversial, stylish reboot, Blood and Judgment, the Shadow's on-going was a clever, relentless, irreverent series that took no prisoners and nothing was sacred. The main character died and had his allies carry his dead body around in a coffin for awhile, and the series ended prematurely with his decapitated head being attached to a robot. The sales of the series were quite bad, and it got the point where Helfer and Baker had to split a $20 royalty check! That was when they decided to call it quits, and we were all poorer for it.

Thor by JMS. He could have at least written the ending.

This, if only because it seemed like he was finally moving past the awful She-Punisher story.
    Miller was right.
