Suicide squad had a tie-in featuring Boomerang conning Slipknot into believing the biochip bombs were phony. The inspiration for a similar scene in the 2016 film!

Thanks. The event lead to the short lived New Guardians series. As an Australian it was interesting see Betty Clawman, an aboriginal woman, become a superhero...

I think it was cool that there was a Green Lantern-centric event at the time done by the creative team that was working on the GLC book. Also, there was a cool Secret Origins tie-in that told the story of the Guardians of the Universe. Secret Origins #23.
