I swear, if they retcon Waller's origin story so that her family members all died because of various superhuman battles, I'm going to, um, have a whiny fanboy conniption fit, I guess?

The Penguin and Sinister Sons ending with #12 and #6, respectively.

Green Lantern: War Journal confirmed to be ending with #12 in August.

Blue Beetle ending with July’s #11 too.

In better news, Hellblazer has been extended from 9 > 11 issues.

some of absolute power sounds interesting but there’s so much of it, and that’s a turn off for me. so, i’m only picking up one Dc book in july. not good.

Man, I've been loving War Journal. That sucks.

Yeah, wasn't her original thing that she was from Cabrini Green and there was a shooting? There was something very grounded and heavy about that backstory. Maybe its just because I'm from the area and have been to Cabrini Green (which I don't think is there anymore, admittedly), but I kind of liked that storyline for her.

GL War Journal, Zod and Action. I'm not really a fan of Snyder, but Absolute DC can't come soon enough.

Not reading Absolute Power so probably just Zatanna.

    A few thoughts:
    • I don't know, Absolute Power isn't really clicking with me, just a big meh so far to reading the details across the main book and tie-ins.
    • Happy to see a follow up to The Nice House on the Lake
    • Hoping we get a new writer on Catwoman after this arc.
    • Really looking forward to Gail on Action Comics
    • Disappointed to see Blue Beetle ending.
    • A Tim as Red Robin appearance! What a pleasant surprise.
    • Very happy to see Spurrier's Hellblazer mini get a few extra issues.
    • Covers I like:

    Yes, demolished in 2011 apparently.

A shooting, in Chicago.... Marvel's Ironheart has the same backstory, her best friend and her father were gunned down.

Yeah, I had a girlfriend who worked right near Cabrini Green and I remember walking around near there, but that would've been in 2007, I believe. It was definitely a rough part of Chicago, notorious for gang violence back in the day.
