I like how the animated properties use the roll call idea for the JL but the comics insist on the boring overuse of the "big 7". I guess the DVD for these lego movies sell since they keep making them.

One understands that you must look beyond the obvious ones and the other doesn't. Because one understands it's audience is beyond that comic book store. The other understands that but it's not worth the backlash at times.

So while you win over folks in movies, you lose them when they see the comics.

I hope this show does well, I think it might have a good shot at being a hit since the Syfy network isn't as big as the cw so it doesn't have to do as well in the ratings.

One understands that you must look beyond the obvious ones and the other doesn't. Because one understands it's audience is beyond that comic book store. The other understands that but it's not worth the backlash at times.

So while you win over folks in movies, you lose them when they see the comics.

I would also say the animated properties tend to already promote the obvious ones plenty so that eventually they feel more comfortable promoting other heroes when they get to a point.

I mean, the last few Lego movies and most DC animated works general have already had the New 52 "big 7" in starring roles, more or less, so now it looks like they're expanding that to spotlight more heroes.

Though the Lego films have always had quite a few eclectic guest stars .

It's not that different from how the founding MCU Avengers became the Avengers in most media.

Wonder what is going to happen to Gotham and Lucifer now that Fox has been bought out by Disney.

Seems like Fox's TV department will be shuttered and taken over by ABC.

Not to worry fox will be spin off into a standalone TV network with few other smaller channels. Apparently youre not supposed to own more than 1 major broadcasting network.
