Sounds like we might see an actual GL in Legends, though.

Jessica sounds straight from the comics but it looks like they're taking out Simon's criminal past and making him a GL fanboy.

Given how stereotypical Simon's original backstory was, that may not be a bad idea.

Although him being a fan of superheroes before becoming one might be too similar to Kamala Khan.

Superhero fanboys aren't all that uncommon with DC characters but I guess there's the comparison because they're both Muslim.
