I mean, we have no way of knowing for sure that they're going to ruin Dick just because some people don't trust the Batwoman showrunners and he's going to be on the CW. We have nothing from this show other than a premise and possible characters in the cast.

Like, Titans is basically a meme at this point for low quality so it's not as if there's a better live-action precedent for Dick.

Bruce can be a grumpy ball of rage too depending on the story. Sometimes he's perfectly stable other times he's incredibly emotionally flawed.

If a company doesn't get the rights to the original shows, there is little incentive to buy the CW. You get distribution on Cable and Broadcast TV, but unless it's a low price point, it's not worth it.

The CW has never been a profitable network on its own. All its revenue has come from selling its scripted originals to streaming services and international networks. That's why the CW use to let series run forever so it could syndicate the reruns on other networks. No reasonable company would pay top dollar for the CW. It's more likely to just go away. If the CW has stripped off all things Viacom and WB all it's got going for it is distribution, and with the way cable tv subs are declining that isn't as sexy as it once was.

The company who is interested in purchasing it already owns a substantial amount of affiliates and isnt necessarily looking to get into the mainstream hollywood buisness. They want to take what they already have done with streaming/CWSeed/etc.. and use it for their own needs instead of attempting to create something from scratch.

I know the comic was popular but the show always seemed like a hard sell, especially since it's still deep in origin story mode.
