Yes, I want a line-up that revisits that whole WTF vibe that the team-up of Strange, Hulk, and Namor had back in the early 70s.

That is absolutely insane. I consider myself fairly well-versed in Marvel characters but I had to look up Sir Ivory Honeyshot and Queen Divine Justice. And Texas Twister? Love it!

I agree. I think Marvel is sleeping on the possibilities. Considering the vast number of characters in limbo, they could keep everyone fresh by featuring them in quarterly story arcs as "Defenders." Maybe have one person or cosmic or magical benefactor like Roma assemble them and be the foundational lynch pin, if the crises doesn't do that organically.

Daredevil. Never seen Luke Cage and Beast work together. That should be fun as should Luke's interactions with Namor. Namor and Hulk are always big fun and of course I'm basically in the bag for Hellcat. I'd like tosee more of Cannonball and Smasher

Dayum, I just saw that list, and it's insane. I'd totally buy it just for those three! (Granted, Fat Cobra is probably my least favorite of the Immortal Warriors, just because he seems to have whatever darn powers he wants, and that's kinda dull.)

I guess because my first exposure was to the Defenders was the 'New Defenders' with the 3 ex-X-men, I always like the Defenders when they are (as Quesada once put it) the "Second Rate Avengers". My one thought was to make an actual team of Avengers stand-ins, like US Agent, Beta-Ray Bill, Scarlet Spider, etc.

Although, Nighthawk, Valkyrie, and Hellcat are 3 of my favorite Marvel characters. I love Gargoyle too. Totally underrated character.

Going off the deep end...

Dr. Strange (always. More than any other, it's not Defenders without Doc.)
Hercules (let's leave Hulk and Namor out for the moment, since they have their own things going elsewhere in the MU. Herc's power rival those two, and he's fairly used to facing the kind of threats the Defenders usually do.)
Hannibal King (King has a lot of power due to his vampire nature, but, as a P.I., also has that down to Earth thing going for him. I think a human perspective is important for the team)
Elsa Bloodstone (the Defenders need a monster hunter, and there's no one better. Imagine her and Herc sharing trade secrets)
Black Cat (her bad luck powers are so unpredictable and interesting. Plus, she and King will be the most "normal" of this bunch. Also a more human perspective)
Gargoyle (power and the wisdom of the years)
A new Devil Slayer (I just think his ability to summon weapons out of his cape, or out of his trench coat, in a more modernized version, are simply so cool)

For their main enemies, a new Six-Fingered Hand (that name is just SO cool), formed of pre-existing enemies (or not) of the Defenders.
But, this has nothing to do with the new approach, which I can't help but think that we've seen someting similar in the Secret Defenders, which was not so interesting.

Great taste in liking NH, Val, and HC. To me they’re the heart of the team. Without them it’s just the Big Four arguing.
