Default Should Scott Summers Go on Trial with Hank McCoy?

Hank McCoy is going to do time for messing up the time stream, but it seems that Cyclops is aiding and abetting these crimes.

First, against the objections of elders who have about 50 years on him respectively, Emma Frost and Magneto, he helped teen Jean and Scott evade capture and repatriation to the past. To this day, he shelters them so that Beast can't experiment upon them for a cure to their time lock.

Then he saved the life of a destructive mutant, Eva Bell, who is wreaking havoc on the time stream and who intends to bring professor Xavier to the future. A captain is responsible for his ship, and Cyclops is responsible for the students he's kidnapped from their families and police custody.

Should Cyclops and Beast become cellmates?

Oh sure, lock them both up and give them the maximum sentence for time travel shenanigans.

    Which is...

Anywho, She-Hulk was pro-Registration. I'd trust her about as far as I could throw the moon when it comes to justice for superfolk, mutant or otherwise.

The penalties should be equivalent to those of environmental crimes.

She-Hulk flipped on the Reg after Tony injected her with Spin Tech (and announced her sway by beating him down of course).

Wolverine actually messed up the time stream (Age Of Ultron) shown and stated verbatim on panel, or at least until it's revealed some villain was actually behind it (like Dr.Doom>Wanda>HoM). Hank was just working and unknowingly with an already broken space time. Somehow the buck got passed to Tony anyways as did destroying the PF because, I guess, I don't know? Because Iron Man is untrustworthy. Anyways point being they shouldn't go to trial since they weren't the cause of the break anyways. If anyone did go to trial as well it would be in a cosmic tribunal if not an even higher order (considering all of space and time is the victim), not in an Earth based court system. According to some comics most other cultures and persons, several races like the Shiar and such as well as Thanos here (see: Battle Of The Atom, Trial Of Jean Grey, Infinity and others), consider the very Earth and human race to be to blame for it.

    * Note: The Wolverine in question that committed the act that broke the time stream was not 616 Wolverine but an alternate reality version who doesn't exist anymore. Added it was stated that the time stream broke as a cumulative effect of all the time shenanigans any character past to present has gotten up to, like the cracking of glass and this was just the one that finally shattered it. In any case the time stream was already broken by the time Beast and Cyclops got up to these deeds, as noted when Future Beast's plot to send the original X-Men back in time failed in BOTA much to even his own surprise.

Your hate for Cyclops is amazing! I like him even more when I see thread like this. Without Cyclops leadership your favorite X-Men would be dead.

Cyclops sole reason for breaking out of prison was this, however he seems to have forgotten that. He definitely should have a trial. Just like how Magneto had one in Uncanny X-Men 200.

    Correct on all points.

In fairness without any X-Men who played a pivitol role in the Decimation the X-Men would be dead. Cyclops by no means did everything by himself. In fact he relied on others quite a bit because he was out of his depth. Particularly during Utopia.
