yeah but the fight with doomsday on smallville was stupid and short lol judging by the fight scene in man of steel you know the fight scene between superman and doomsday is gonna be way better. So I wouldnt mind it.

I'm all for Shannon returning as Zod/Doomsday. It would be a way to backdoor-appease the "But..but Superman doesn't killllllll!" crowd, and set up a baddie for future DC films. And who says it has to be Doomsday? Maybe Zod never really died. Maybe he just appeared dead and was really paralyzed. Who knows about Kryptonian physiology? Or maybe he'll be the Kryptonite Man or the Eradicator. There are a lot of potential Kryptonian connections possible. Considering the rumor that Brainiac, the ultimate Kyptonian supercomputer, is going to be a major antagonist going forward, and considering Kal has the Kryptonian codex database in his DNA, there are endless possibilities.

First time, for two, and second time out, for others.

And, to Charmed, Kensei, etc, good suggestions for how Zod could return, without having his death be annulled.

One correction to the ol' Comic Reel - there is actually new footage in that CW DC video, of Martin Stein, from The Flash, and the new Black Canary, from Arrow, possibly Ray Palmer bit too. Mostly old, but some new, while the BC bit already aired this week.
I just hope we see them even without Spiderman.

Just recommend we don't get into this, Arundel, superfictious. Just saying, a debate better left for another time, another thread.

    SO!

Other than Lex, Doomsday, or Zod, who would people like as villain in a Superman film going forward?

And, Arundel and others, what would you make to plot of The Sinister Six be, without Spider-Man involved? Annd, would you Avengers it, mixed the focus of the six characters, or would you focus on Harry Osborn, maybe Otto Octavius, who I believe was confirmed the leader in the film?

Brainiac, unless he's being reserved for JL. Same for Darkseid. Maybe Mongul?

I've always had a dream of Samuel L. Jackson playing Metallo but, alas, I doubt that'll ever happen. But I think Metallo would be perfect in a standalone Superman film because of his power and backstory. Not sure how you deal with the Kryptonite factor, though.

So wait, the immensely talented and HUGE character fan Drew Goddard left being showrunner of Daredevil on Netflix to direct Sinister Six and now it might not even happen??? That's all kinds of suck there.

Am I the only one that thinks that, if it did happen, Sinister Six and Suicide Squad will confuse a ton of mainstream movie goers?

    Why would they be confused?

After the disastrous ASM2, Sinister Six still has a chance to be one of the best Spidey movies ever. It's basically a blank canvas for all the members of the team. And Dane DeHaan's Harry can be fleshed out more, if he's in it.

This requires that they let the director do what he wants though.

Or, Jamie Foxxs' Max, Paul Giamattis' Alexsei, maybe ol' Fliers as well. Also, Jones' BC, if appearing, could have more too. Just wonder who they'd cast as the Vulture, or Doctor Octopus?

I'm up for it, but be more excited if it's The Six V Spidey, or vice versa. I understand how Suicide Squad can work regardless of a Superman, a Batman, or Green Arrow, but the Six are formed to destroy, trap, expose, kill Spider-Man. Without him, what would their purpose, in a Spider-Man continuity and universe?

I'd love BRAINIAC as well, but suppose a lot is Justice League dependent, though Loki was the Thor AND Avengers villain, so, maybe...
