Recap:

Nebula says she only accompinied Champion and Starfox so she could kill Thanos, Starfox uses his mood altering powers to calm her down despite Thanos trying to convince her to finish the task. They eventually convince him to help them stop Thane and Death. He tells them the best way to get the power to do so is to meet with the Infinity Coven, three elder beings who over see the redistribution of power from dead deities (whom he became aware were watching him when he wore the infinity gaunlet).

Meanwhile Thane expresses doubts about the wisdom of having left Thanos alive (D'uh), Lady Death reassures him they can correct it soon and watches as he destroys a combined Sh'iar/Spartax fleet sent to oppose him.

Back with Thanos and Starfox's merry band, they arrive at the edge of the universe and the brothers from Titan enter tha large black hole they find there (Thanos can be beaten up and nearly killed by powerless scavengers but can survive being ripped apart at a subatomic level by the tidal forces of a black hole's event horizon apparently), inside they are greeted by the three witches of the Infinity Coven who are hovering over a pit filled with the remains of dead gods... They welcome them to the God Quarry.

Personally, I'm a huge Thanos fan and while I'm enjoying this series, the overall plot seems a bit rushed to me while at the same time the last previous issue felt like little more than filler and this one's pace felt sporadic, with a third of the issue covering a single conversation and a journey to the edge of the freaking universe taking 4-5 panels.

Is it bad that I enjoy Starfox more than Gambit?

I like his dynamic with Thanos.

Wow absolutely loved Thanos# 8, Thane is on a rampage through the galaxy as Thanos forms an uneasy alliance with Eros, Champion and Nebula.
Issue# 9 look interesting with the Infinity Witches and how about the cover to Thanos# 11 Thanos vs Phoenix Thane.

My LCS forgot to order #5 for me, but I got caught up with #6-8 today. Couple of questions: Does Starfox know about Mentor yet? Doesn't seem like it, but I did miss one issue. Also, I thought Lemire was leaving because of his exclusive with DC, but he's still listed as the writer for #11 in the September solicits. What gives?

They haven't referenced Eros (Starfox) knowing about Mentors death as yet.
I didn't think about that, hmmm things could get very nasty there.
I had heard that Jeff Lemire had signed with DC comics but I hadn't heard that he was exclusive to them (which doesn't mean that he isn't).
