That combo of respect, humanity, and professionalism between Agent Carter and Edwin Jarvis on the show is a real draw for me. It's kind of weird that this type of decency between men and women, and people in general, sometimes feels more like an escapist fiction than the super-spy or super-science stuff in these Marvel productions.
