    I have the sneaking suspicion that even though Purple Man is a horrible and disturbing villain, he's going to have some fangirls thanks to Tennant.

    Tennant SHOULD get a lot to work with, since this is a Netflix series, especially if the treatment of Kingpin (as far as we've been told) holds up.

    ...Right, got that out of my system. All I can say is a perfect casting, glad to see they're giving suitable villains to line up against the heroes. Interested to see how much of the comic elements of Purple Man they'll be implying or showing, Killgrave was putting it mildly a pretty sick dude to Jewel there.

    Makes me wonders who the title villains for Iron Fist and Luke Cage will be now.

    Also it sounds like they'll just be calling him Kilgrave like the X-Men animated series did.

    Great casting, excited by the news. Glad to see him in a shortlived US TV series and the returning British show it was based on. So glad to see him involved in the Netflix series!

    My honest first thought, even before 'damned good actor and fine casting', was 'how will the fangirls react to The Doctor as a purple-skinned rapist?'
