David Tennant To Play Kilgrave In Marvel's "A.K.A. Jessica Jones"

It's definitely funny how an actor known for have charming characters and having lots of fangirls is now playing the creepiest guy in comicdom. Looking forward to the show to see how they deal with Purple Man.

I'm still residually a little puzzled on Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones (especially when other actresses that I thought would "work" better in the role auditioned), but they cast Luke Cage and now Purple Man perfectly, so I think they're exercising good judgment on this show. Now Melissa Rosenberg just needs to translate the witty, gorey darkness she wrote on Dexter into this show. I know that both she and Krysten Ritter really love the character and Alias.

I wonder if he'll actually be purple, given the grim n' gritty street-level tone Marvel seems to be heading for with Daredevil. The inhuman skin tone could add to the creep factor, especially if the reveal is an effect akin to Nicholson's running flesh-toned make-up in the first Batman movie.

Well this is certainly a stroke against the series for me. Not many actors turn me off as much as Tenant is able to.

Fandom can be just really twisted sometimes, and Tennant has a powerful fanbase. It'll definitely happen. Expecting quite a few fanfics out of this.
