Has Dr. Doom use Doombots to get out of legal trouble?

Dr. Doom has millions of Doombots at his disposal, right? Why not lie to the world, and say all of his crimes were committed by Doombots?

It's not far-fetched for robots in the Marvel universe to rebel against their masters (Ultron). How do we know Dr. Doom isn't a benevolent scientist whose life was taken over by his robots?

Good example dzub! If he doesn't fear the judgment of gods, then the laws of mankind wouldn't phase him. IMO I think Doom couldn't care less what the world thinks and he always feels his actions are justified. He's pretty much a "ends justifies the means" type. One thing I always did wonder is that even though in a one shot issue a while back showing Cap's files on various players in the MU indicates that SHIELD intel knows that Doom had a hand a death in Valeria's death on U.S. soil, they haven't done anything about it. That's one thing that one would think they could charge him with.

1) His ego would never allow it. He will only attribute to Doombots things that he did or that happened to the real him, when they reflect poorly on him in terms of capability, not what he considers the irrelevant legalities of other countries or other people's parochial morality that doesn't take account of his innate superiority.

2) Even if he were to try to dodge legal trouble by saying a rogue Doombot did it, he'd face the twin difficulties that:

a) It's quite clear that he is in absolute control of the majority of his Doombots, so the defense might well not be seen as credible, and

b) Even if it were the case that rogue Doombots were responsible, as their creator he might well still be regarded as bearing full or almost full civil and criminal liability, depending on the details of how they escaped his control and how he'd programmed them to behave.

There is a great scene in the Winter Soldier series when they figure out that Lucia Von Bardas is planning to use a Doombot to attack the United Nations. Their first though is that Doom would probably take credit due to his pride

Yeah, I remember that. They were able to subvert its programming to a point but it still thought it was Doom himself. It was confused whenever Lucia or the Red Ghost would tell it to do something and wondered why it was obeying them.
