You do realize that the ENTIRE Marvel Universe is involved in this event, right?

Possibly, but it's a good idea to know what comes under which brand and over the whole four to five months rather than monthly as in solicitations.

I'm sure the solicits will be horribly confusing when all the news is announced.

Ergo why something like this is ideal, though I have a sneaky feeling Marvel will have their own checklist in their Free Comic Day offering with #0. Which incidentally I forgot to mention now I think of it...

Slight update, added the ToysRUs exclusive Armour Wars #1/2 issue to the Weekly list - for those not in the know this is an exclusive 12 page issue which acts as a prequel to the Armour Wars storyline during Secret Wars, and is availiable for free from US ToysRUs stores or online when apparently spending $25 or more on Marvel products.

So I was looking at the latest Secret Wars news here:
    http://marvel.com/news/group/918/sec...&totalcount=20

And saw another article on that Armor Wars #1/2:
    http://marvel.com/news/comics/24550/...t_in_toys_r_us

If we didn't know before, we definitely know now who the local Thor Cop of Technopolis is, heh.

I also noticed this short article:
Last Days in the Life of a Hero

It includes Darkhawk, which is neat. Probably the only pseudo-Secret-Wars-related content we'll get for some of these lesser known heroes, heh.

I picked up the Armor Wars book at Toys R Us today. It's not totally necessary in the overall scheme of things, but for a 12-page comic, it had some moments.

The way I figured it, it was either $25 to pick it up now (and get some toys in the deal, which for me were some Funko Pop bobbleheads), or spend $25 in six months time for the TPB. And since I'm pulling the book anyways...

I'm pretty sure it isn't labeled this way, but the solicits for Avengers World 17 and 18 (and also 19 and 20, though not explicitly) call it "Before Time Runs Out", and seem to point to it as a prequel or lead-in to Time Runs Out.

The updated cover for 17 does have the "Secret Wars" banner, and could be considered a lead-in (ala USM and Avengers/New Avengers). Technically though it all will take place in the 8 month gap.

I concur, but that does make it a tie-in to Times Runs Out. A prelude to a prelude, as it were.

EDIT: Also, I love that cover!
