I've always found Mercury's official weight of 114 lbs interesting, as that makes her body less dense than the lightest known metals. For comparison, if she was made of actual mercury, her weight would be close to a ton. Her low mass appears confirmed by the books, since we've seen her float in water and being carried by others without much effort. So whatever she's made of must be some truly magical material.
It also means she should be able to fly or glide if she was to form wings or took on a kite-like shape.

I recall reading somewhere that the plan was to make her T-1000 from the Terminator series. She would ultimately be close to indestructible and able to take any form, potentially including a Mystique-like ability to take on other people?
