But it all comes down to editoring, doesn't it? The person responsible for editing the book could've orchestrated it better to avoid the problem. I mean, we got two stories in it that had the Superman/Lex rivalry theme in it, but no Lois/Clark romance. And it's not like there aren't people interested in telling this kind of story. Gail Simone practically wrote a essay today on Twitter of why she loves Lois; Tom Taylor would do it in a heartbeat; Kelly Sue DeConnick said once she'd write more stories like the one she did for Adventures of Superman. Like I said, it feels like 2013 all over again, where they won't bother to do something more unless people scream it loud at them.
(BTW, on a smaller scale, my complaints extend to Jimmy as well.)
As for the solo book, I don't know, we won't know for sure how it'd sell unless they try. I don't think it'd hurt if they did (they did gave a thumbs up for a Superwoman book starring Lana Lang after all...)
