The facts are that DC yet again completely screwed over another character in their New 52 revamp B.S. Erasing all of Wally's achievements is only necessary because they decided to bring back Barry and where suddenly faced with the sad fact that Wally had surpassed Barry ten times over. So how to fix that problem? Well let's erase all that history and start over from scratch!

How creative of them.

Lord knows what they have planned for Donna Troy, if they ever decide to bring her back that is.

God help Donna Troy! I hope fans still bug DC about this injustice at conventions.

And this is good why???

Is good for some characters because it gets rid of unnecessary continuity (Superman, Donna Troy, etc) and tell new stories.

In some cases like Green Arrow, the stories become better than ever.

Most characters have re-started from scratch (Superman, Green Arrow, Batgirl, etc.), that's what happens in reboots. There's no way that Wally would have been re-introduced the same way he left.

And Donna is most likely going to be from a different race and probably at the same age as current Wally.

Ultimate Peter Parker is a lot like 616 Peter Parker

I want Similar but different, Not! Completely new character with a beloved character names slapped on.

Wally has always been a smart-ass (at least from his first ongoing onwards, later he starting maturing but he still kept his sarcastic side).

"Street-thug"? What? He's just doing some graffiti.

We don't know if he's from "lesser-intelligence", in fact Iris mentioned that he's pretty smart, is just that he doesn't have a good role model.

He's alive currently.

I would have been fine with a few changes to Wally, but he's a drastically different character for unnecessary reasons. Batgirl at least has some critical stories (The Killing Joke), she's still intelligent, and she's still the same age as her primary friends from the old universe (Dinah, Dick, and it looks like Helena's going to be pretty unchanged outside of being a spy).

I'm fine with the race change because I'd like to see more diversity, but really this Wally might as well be a different character. At least IMO

There's a sizable difference between being a smart ass and being sarcastic.

They say this is the umpteenth time he's been arrested so street thug. Just because a parental figure says something about you it doesn't mean its true. Who sprays a flash sucks sign in broad daylight next to the police station in Central City, an idiot does that.
