I don't think that the heroes think they would intentionally kill them.

But both can do wonky time travelling stuff. What if they accidentally altered a timeline or did something with unforeseen side effects? You would have to investigate.

They would both have to be written extremely out-of-character to do that.

I mean this, I’m not being sarcastic or snide, I’m glad you are hyped for the book! That’s whats great about comics there are plenty of books for everyone’s tastes and everyone will not always be happy. As for me I didn’t want to see Wally in Tom Kings book because that means Flash war is probably going to end badly for him.

I heard word though there is supposed to be another Flash book that will explore the mythos I doubt it will end too badly.

The worst thing is he can't get his kids back which is a MAJOR plus for me looool!!

I think this is going to be good. King has expressed his love for Wally's Flash run even before this "event" so I don't think he would ruin him too much.

That's what I'm thinking. Still maybe something else happens though like Wally not being able to save everyone. He could possibly save his kids but in the process unintentionally ruin Bart and the others chance at escape.
