Twilght Sparkle vs Edward Cullen (rematch)

this time Twilight gets the "Princess Power Up" she had when Celestia, Luna, and Cadence gave her their power. she'll be facing off against Edward from the movies.

last time I recall Cullen speedblitzed her for the win. would Twilight's new low-end DBZ style powers and ranged attacks give her a better shot at winning or stalemating Cullen?

bonus round: the winner gets Discord as their new sidekick. (and they can't kill him)

Depends on if Twi's "put her through a mountain just hacks her off" defenses are innate/automatic or if she has to think "On." before Cullen lays her out.

If the former? Ed really does not have any options here.

It didn't really seem that she raised any special defenses when she took some of those shots, so I really don't see what Cullen's doing to her. And she can TRIVIALLY one-shot him, plus, catching him is as simple as teleporting him into solid ground or just TK'ing his ass into the air. Or, she can use the ever-popular "transform him into a houseplant" trick - something she did to her parents as a small child, long before any studying and certainly without the power-up.

Twilight had a forcefield up whenever she took a hit. She only took a couple of hits, even then.

Anyway, the power up didn't seem to come with a speed boost. I don't think that it'll actually make a difference in this fight, to be honest. Either Twilight is fast enough to catch Edward, in which case she's perfectly capable of doing something that'll give her a ten-count with her start-of-series power level, or she can't, in which case it doesn't come into play.

Friendship is Magic has wildly inconsistent power levels for everyone, but Twilight has some decent reflex feats throughout the series. Putting up a shield quickly is well within her abilities. Given the widely variable durability of every character in the show, she might be able to actually soak some damage long enough to do something if Edward does catch her first. Depends on the what's going on today.

Speed would be the obvious question. I heard Twi-pires were ridiculously fast with the Superspeed when they wanted to be. How many good feats do they (and specifically Edward) have?

The power-up did give her a Rainbow Dash-level speed. And even without it, she was pretty good with her teleport spell.

It didn't boost her reflexes, though, and that's what matters here. Not sure if Twilight was even flying faster, given her other flight showings. The series really isn't consistent on power levels.
