There were two editions. One had the first 500 issues split among 10 CD Roms. The other had the 500 issues plus the annuals spread among one DVD rom. So that one's slightly better, although it might be more expensive.

Not sure how easy they are to find anymore, but if you strike out you may want to buy a year of Marvel Unlimited. They have the entire ASM series in addition to all the other great stuff on there. I use it a lot to avoid pulling out my older issues that I'd prefer not to handle. I think they are doing a free month promo right now also.

I had the single disc version
It was most helpful to me as a young fan wanting more Spidey after finishing off Ultimate Spider-Man
