Default Is Injustice (comic) worth it or basically what it looks like?

So, basically I pretty much disregarded the game. I'm pretty mad that DC got stuck with Mortal Kombat, the Liefeld of fighting games. Thus, with Injustice, we got a DC Mortal Kombat, which just oozes the sentiment of "DC sucks accept Batman".

Then there's the plot, which sounds like something Scott Snyder, Bruce Timm, and Frank Miller came up with at a sleep over. And how the heck is Superman bad for killing THE FREAKING JOKER? It was dumb in Kingdom Come (I'll comment on that later), and it's dumb here.

So yeah, the whole "evil fascist alien. It's up to Batman!" Plot sounds dumb. Does the comic make any decency out of this or is it booty?

    Lol.

The comic gets more in detail with it. It kind of makes Superman get worse over time.

Year 1 was pretty good after that it kind of dropped in quality in each year. Pretty much the quality dropped after Tom Taylor left.

You're missing out, Injustice was a great game and it's sequel is highly anticipated. The roster for the sequel is off to a great start! Personally I think Mortal Kombat is an amazing fighting game franchise and I'm glad NR got to do a game with the DC characters because the universe they have going on/built up is pretty awesome!

As for the comic, years 1 & 2 were great, year 3 was decent, but years 4 & 5 were meh. Personally I'm waiting for the Injustice 2 comic series. I'm hoping the new characters get a lot of attention and a good introduction.
Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!

Yeah I saw the ending of year 1 with Alfred beating "that fascist alien". In other words, Frank Miller's version of porn. Ugh...

And considering how the game ends, how in the heck could they have a sequel? Why not make a DC fighting game where the characters (besides Batman) are actually, ya know, in character?

The comic is pretty good on the whole, considering it's a prequel tie-in to a fighting game. It's a lot better than it has any right to be. Story and art are largely okay, and we get to see a bunch of other characters from the Injusticeverse who had died by the time the game started.

Superman's not bad just because he kills the Joker, though it's still not good (the way he did it, that is). He burst into a police station and rammed his arm elbow-deep through the Joker's chest. I don't care who it is, you don't get to murder people once they're in police custody, sorry. But that just starts him on a long, dark path toward becoming a complete tyrant who becomes more and more violent and vengeful. It's not just that one event, though it is the catalyst.

If you are already this this set in your perception of the comic before reading it then I dont think you should it read it. That being said I really think this view is wrong.

I thought the comic was pretty good, and like everyone says the first couple of years were a lot better then could be expected. There is certaintly a decline later on, but it was still enjoyable.

I would also say that the ending of the game pretty much hints at a future game. Which I am certaintly going to play because I highly enjoyed the first one.

Well I hope you know I meant wrong as in I dont agree with it, not as "its wrong of you to think this way".

You are of course entitled to have this view but I think that refering to this story and ´Supermans character as "Frank Miller porn" is a very simplified version of the story.

I am not saying this is a great masterpiece or anything, but its certaintly better then you portray it in your assumptions here.

"DC sucks accept Batman" confused the hell out of me until I realised you meant "DC sucks except Batman"

I lost interest in the comic when I saw scans of Dick Grayson dying by falling onto a rock, and Wonder Woman becoming Superman's Lady Macbeth or some shit. And the "superpowerd heroes become villains while only Batman remains incorruptible" vibe I get from it is pretty bad too.

I read the first trade of Injustice and it was really good. There's no black-and-white morality: everything is super grey.
I still miss Renee Montoya. Oh, and I'm a dude.

To me, it reads like the longest ELSEWORLDS ever. It's sort of the secret lovechild of THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and KINGDOM COME on disfiguring steroids.

I thought season 1 and 2 were very good. Season 3 and 4 started to go off the rails some when they started getting the Gods and then magic involved. Season 5 I liked and think is as good as season 1 and 2 since it brought everything back down.

The story made sense to me. Superman suffers the greatest tragedy of his life and it was even at his own hands. This leads to him deciding that he is done letting things like this happen anymore and starts taking to the law totally into his own hands until he just takes over completely. The people that stand with him see the ends justifing the means since things are much more peaceful even if it is because all the peoples rights are gone. Superman slowly takes his rule farther and farther until he becomes the very thing he hates the most, but he sees it as being for the greater good and can't understand why the others still fight his rule when the world is a safer place (as long as you don't step out of line in anyway).

Wonder Woman following him make sense too since she is all about peace, and Supermans way does bring that about even if it is at the end of her sword.

Some like Aquaman and Flash do question his methods more and more, but are to afraid of the consquences to act against Superman.
