It's a no for me. She's not really that interesting. Add Vixen!

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Add Zatanna and I'm in as well.

On the fence with Zatanna...I usually don't like magic-users in team books...but she makes sense.
I also considered Gypsy, Dawnstar and Starfire...but I tried to keep the roster to 7 or 8. Maybe now I'd go with
Big Barda
Vixen
Huntress
Power Girl
Dawnstar
Mera
Gypsy
Zatanna
All characters who don't have their own title...and I would make this team Authority-level bad ass!
I'd drop Dawnstar for Hawkwoman. Dawnstar belongs in the future with the Legion and Hawkwoman is a classic Leaguer.
I like how complimentary Aquaman and Mera's powers are. I'm not sure it was intentional from the get-go, from a "power pairing" point of view. But as a hydromancer she's a massively powerful ranged fighter and battlefield/terrain mover, whereas Aquaman's a melee tank with a stabbing weapon.
It's also interesting in context with their personalities. She's the tempestuous one and he's the iceman, yet he's the one getting into the savage close combat while she rains watery hell and moves like water.
Retro315 no more. Anonymity is so 2005.

Mera should just be labeled AQUAWOMAN, and lead the Justice League.
Does anyone think DC is headed this direction with Mera? She's becoming a more public figure in Aquaman and given that Amber Heard is debuting as Mera in Justice League (possibly as the seventh member), it would make sense for DC to beef up her role.
