Probably but I have noticed that in recent years when you get some artists doing Avengers posters and variant covers/ flashbacks that they have been showing him in his original costume so maybe there are a few artists out there who also have a nostalgic fondness for his original look?

Simon can leave his original costume (and every other green one) in the mothballs, as far as I'm concerned.

Let's talk about the long sleeved/pouched costume! That one disappeared far too soon for my tastes...

I think I would like the original costume better if someone could explain to me what's going around his mid-section? It's always looked like some kind of girdle to me.

I used to think it was a repeated "WM" pattern, with the "W" becoming "M", becoming "W" etc. I don't know if that was what was intended, though.

Probably why they got rid of the original.Just too hard or took too long to for the artist to draw.

I like that look too...and wouldn't mind if he went back to it.

Isn't it sad the most recent conversations involving Simon are the costumes he's worn?

They really need to bring the character back in some redeeming story arc.

    LOL.

Marvel needs to get back to basics with Simon. A recap of his early beginnings like inheriting his Dad's company Williams Innovations,
blaming competitor Tony Stark for the company's under performance, embezzling from the company and eventually
turning to Zemo and becoming Wonder Man. Then move forward, perhaps Simon can take back the William Innovations name and
turn it into something that benefits others.

I always thought that Simon's background in engineering was never given enough foccus. After all, as has been said a couple of times, Williams Innovations once gave Stark International a run for it's money (Before Stark International ran it out of business, of course).

    Peace

Nobody seems to know exactly what to do with him. I feel like Ewing would do the character justice if he could come up with a reason to add him to the team. A lot of people waited a long
time after Avengers 9 for him to come back, and I think most people didn't think it would ever happen. He was probably more popular as a legend from 1963-1976, and right after he came
back, than he has been for the last 20 years.
