I really miss this charcter... I... couldn't do the Rogue ate him thing.

The last memory I have of him is at the end of the Revengers when he was saying "I don't know if I'm Alive(real)... you know cause wanda. . . I really was moved by that for some reason. I always felt simon was meant for a bigger role in the universe somehow.

It was always a long shot, but I held out hope that King would somehow find a way to bring Simon back in the pages of The Vision before that book ended...

when you "hear" Simon Williams, does he have a regional accent? I always hear Jessica Drew with a british accent. and Stingray has one of those thick boston accents, in my head. so does Simon sound like a jersey guy?

My first exposure to Simon was in the pages of Avengers West Coast, where there were occasional references to his acting career. Therefore I assumed he was from California (like myself), where we don't have accents.

So he's always sounded "normal" to me...

sure. my first exposure to him was WCA, as well. he had a default "Mortal Kombat Johnny Cage" voice, back then. but I read his handbook bio and some of his earlier appearances. couldn't help but notice the jersey connection.

I Uncanny Avengers #21 Simon let Rogue absorb his powers. He let her absorb his entire energy form into her and vanished. At the end of Uncanny Avengers #22, Rogue releases all of the powers she has absorbed, and Wonder Man didn't come out. Rogue still had Wonder Man's powers and could hear his voice in her head.

That stinks! I want Simon back!

In the past, Simon was immune to Rogue's absorption powers. I guess since she has better control and he was now a being of ionic energy, she was able to absorb his essence.

I liked Simon best when he was flesh and blood and uber strong!

Scientist removed Wonder man mind from Rogue in Uncanny Avengers vol 2 issue 1. Or at least he said that he did but from this point in time Rogue can't hear Simon.
Wanda tried to find him but she couldn't in Uncanny Avengers vol 2 issue 5.

I really hope they bring Simon back sooner than later, and bring him back as his jovial old movie star persona self rather than the morose brooder he became in recent years.

The problem is that Simon acted like a moron during Uncanny Avengers(like many other heroes during this run). That's the only reason why he is lost somewhere.

He could give her 99,999999% of his strength and he would survive or he could fly with her.
Plan was created by Kang and Captain America...

I still don't understand why everyone agreed with this stupid plan. Wonder Man, Iron, Vision, Cap Marvel should fly with Rogue instead of giving their powers to Rogue.
I can understand why Rogue agreed (she made many mistakes in this run so it was rational) but Tony Stark, Banner, Steve Rogers are geniuses. they should create something better.
