    I think I've found the best choice to play Wonder Man...Tom Welling.

    "History of the DC Universe" by Wolfman and Perez, when the DCU use to make sense.

    The former (Smallville) Superman? Well, he wouldn't be the first to be in both Marvel and DC.

    I like his current, older, more manly appearance in the above pics!

    They both share something in common, they refused to wear a generic super hero costume.

    Funny how this Appreciation Thread has just appeared.......especially considering the various appearances of Simon during both UNCANNY AVENGERS & SECRET EMPIRE {and their Tie-Ins}.

    Thanks to Busiek and Pérez the readers of marvel comics were given the following Wonder Man look;
    TERRIFIC look imo.

    Yeah...I never cared for the purple energy look for Wonder Man.

    Below is Simon's best look IMHO. I'm digging the raised collar shown on the bust with this look as well.

    Seconded!

    I want Wonder to be one of the top strong guys, not an energy absorber/blaster.

    To be fair, even when he had Perez's ionic energy form look, Wondy was STILL one of the top strong guys. His power set didn't change. The only difference was that he now had the glowing ionic energy field around his body.

    As much as I loved Busiek and Perez's Avengers, I also prefer the non-energy look for Wonder Man. However, I also like when he is able to fly under his own power, so maybe a compromise could be reached. He would always mantain a normal human looking form, however, when he flew, he'd be surounded by a slight aura of purpule Kirby dots.

    Peace

    I agree, due to his ionic power, Simon should now advance to being able to fly own his own accord.
    I think the picture below best represents the right compromise on how to visualize it.

    Of course he can fly of his own accord - that's why Rogue can!
