    Jean Grey
    Storm
    Beast
    Cable
    Gambit

I love a all star team that doesn't feature either Wolverine or Cyclops.

That was my first comic book X-Men team.

Whendon's Astonishing X-Men team and the Extinction Team were great lineups as well.

Blue and Gold Team from the 90's.
I also like the astonishing x-men team (2004).

Too bad they lost Rogue and Kitty so soon.

    Ah, yeah. Classics.

Starjammers were great in space, it was also the last time Havok was a decent enough leader. Rachel even took charge of the team when Havok was captured.

My top 3 (in no particular order) are:

-The New Mutants, specifically once they got into the groove after a few issues (Mirage/Psyche, Cannonball, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, Amara, then later Cypher and Warlock)
-O5 X-Men (Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel, Marvel Girl)
-The first lineup from the current volume of X-Men (Kitty Pryde, Storm, Psylocke, Rogue, Rachel, Jubilee). Still love the book, but the current lineup is weaker without Kitty/Rogue and with Monet.

    Honorable mention:
-The New Mutants squad in early "New X-Men" (Surge, Elixir, Prodigy, Icarus, Wallflower, Wind-dancer)

I liked that lineup as well. The book was fun and refreshing, even though I hated the premise of "mutant school". The book suffered from an overload of X-Men books at the time. It was just too much. Too many characters, too many storyline's.

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.

    in no particular order:
    1) O5 X-Factor
    2) any iteration of Wolverine's X-Force
    3) New X-Men squad formed at the end of that title
    4) the Blue/Gold blob (the last time I remember blue/gold was mentioned was in Jean's future message in Onslaught, which is fun since the team had Cannonball at that point)
    5) Extinction team
    6) the surprisingly stable and longlived Astonishing X-Men that included Armor
    7) Marjorie Liu's Astonishing X-Men (notably Warbird and Northstar)
    honorary mention: Muir Island X-Men

This was SO awesome! To Losing Kitty and Rogue? Boo-urns.
The issues they did have were fun though.
(Also great girl-power cover - that sentinel just had his pink rear-end handed to him)

The combined Blue and Gold teams (with Colossus not Cannonball). I know, they're really two separate teams but it's just so hard to separate them (I also want include the next two). While it's missing Shadowcat and Nightcrawler, it really is otherwise the perfect lineup.

Early 80's line up of Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Rogue.

Late 90's line up of Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, shadowcat, Rogue, Marrow, Gambit. Had a hard time choosing this over some of the others but I really liked how well Marrow interplayed with both Wolverine and Storm, and even her interactions with Gamibt and Colossus. Plus, it's pretty much the early 80's X-Men with Gambit and Marrow added in so how could it go wrong? It was a close run with this and the similar lineup exchanging Marrow/Gambit for Rachael and Cyclops.

I guess I have way too many favorite line ups:

    1 - X-treme X-Men
    2 - Outback Era
3 - Blue and Gold teams
    4 - Morrison Era
5 - End of the 90s lineup (Marrow, Storm, Rogue, Kitty, Logan, Colossus, Nightcrawler and Gambit)
6 - Around Phoenix Saga lineup (with the occasional appearence by Beast).
