Best (canon) X-Men lineup's to date

Late 90's line up of Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, shadowcat, Rogue, Marrow, Gambit. Had a hard time choosing this over some of the others but I really liked how well Marrow interplayed with both Wolverine and Storm, and even her interactions with Gamibt and Colossus. Plus, it's pretty much the early 80's X-Men with Gambit and Marrow added in so how could it go wrong? It was a close run with this and the similar lineup exchanging Marrow/Gambit for Rachael and Cyclops.

Exactly that! Plus there are some stories of that period I just love!

All-New, All-Different was a great team (Scott, Shiro, Ororo, Logan, Sean, John, Kurt, Piotr, etc.).
The Astonishing team was a great all-star roster, also (save for sad-sack Hank).
But, at the end of the day, Jim Lee's Blue Team for the win!

X-Factor: Havok, Polaris, Multiple Man, Quicksilver, Wolfsbane & Strong Guy
X-Men circa 275: Storm, Gambit, Wolverine, Psylocke, Jubilee, Banshee & Forge

As someone who started reading comics during the Simonson/Simonson X-Factor run (Don't care what anyone says, still probably my favorite creative run ever), nothing and no one will ever top the Original Five to me. However, honorable mention goes to the early Claremont/Byrne group (Cyclops, Phoenix, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Storm, Banshee)

Extinction Team, no question. There has never been an X-team with more firepower assembled than that.

And honestly should have been the most unstable.

Cyclops- under immense pressure, should have snapped a long time ago. Bordering on megalomania.
Magneto-...Magneto
Namor-... He doesn't get along with anyone, but really really wants to "get along" with Emma and doesn't hide it from uber stressed leader
Storm- doesn't trust most of the people around her and only stayed to keep Cyclops from cracking
Magik- hell lord, semi-evil psychotic, let her brother remain controlled by Cytorak.
Emma Frost- too devoted to Cyke, yet somewhat intrigued by Namor. Attention whore, control freak with distinct superiority complex. Doesn't quite trust Hope Summers.
Danger- super dangerous, with questionable ethics morality
Colossus- currently possessed by a chaos demon
Hope Summers- only there because adopted father died in front of her. Shares an odd likeness with leaders ex-wife. A woman Emma has true disdain for, for obvious reasons.
