Hitch is writting and drawing JLA? Wow. Some very interesting titles here, not much jump at me immediately but I love how atypical a lot of these new series are. I can't imagine there was much demand for Prez or Omega, but its great DC is mining its library more.
Oh, and Cyborg with Ivan Reis on art?! I'm in
So how many of these new series will make it past issue #11? Not many I reckon. Latest update is that Harley Quinn/Power Girl will only make it to #4.
Just noticed that the url of the JLA cover is JLA15. The last JLA volume ended with issue #14. I wonder if this is going to be a continuation of it as well.
Cyborg, Black Canary, Dr. Fate, Bizzaro, Starfire - Awesome
Prez, Mystic U, Section Eight all sound interesting!
DC Extended Universe Thread (DCEU)
That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness. That turns good men....Cruel - Alfred.
This may be the only thing that I do that matters - Bruce.
Stay down, if I wanted it, you would be dead already - Clark.
"story will trump continuity" No thanks!
I'll give DC this: they are certainly not afraid to stretch the limits. A Prez series? Bizarro? I'll at least check those out.
Its not ending. Not the continuity, at least. All that they're retiring is the name. And story trumping continuity isn't meant to be taken so literally as to think that shared continuity, crossovers and the like will be a dying idea. I take it to mean that they'll be more lax in regards to style and tone between books. More stuff within the main line not having to all share a "house style" so-to-speak. But it'll still all be taking place in the same place, on the same Earth.
I just want to see a Justice Society book of some sort. I'll wait and see what the final June releases look like but right now it looks like my 30 years of buying DC might be over. Plenty of stuff that I know others will enjoy though.
Sounds like DC is experimenting with a lot of varied titles. I LOVE IT.
