These aren't necessarily "classic" but they were among the first Superman comics I owned. Every time I see these issues I smile. The entire storyline ran from Action 460 - 463 & was by Cary Bates & Curt Swan. I've posted 3 of the 4 covers. I can remember taking these off the spinner racks like it was yesterday. The villain, Karb Brak, has become a running joke for me on the Superman forums. When someone asks what villain needs brought into the New 52, I throw his name out. Gives me a laugh anyway. Lol

These would be the first issues of "Superman" that I owned. These featured Curt Swan with probably my favorite of his inkers, Bob Oksner. He added a certain bulk to Swan's drawings that I really liked. Over the years, I've bought the issues between 300 & 305 that I missed but still need 303. The sad thing is I'm running out of old issues of Superman to buy!

I started reading Superman during the Swan/Oksner era and I remember liking the art a lot. Later I found some issues from a few years earlier with Swan inked by Murphy Anderson; they worked really well together too.
