There's a new Midnighter interview with Steve Orlando over at Comicbook.com which includes what I think is the first look at Bryan Hitch's variant cover for issue #1. Kinda missed that guy drawing Midnighter!

That art is fantastic. You can almost feel he crunch of his boots against the other guys faces
Wow! Colour me impressed. The Orlando clearly knows and understands the character and what more from what he's said he won't be stooping to PC cliches. Dude has done his homework. I haven't been this impressed in a long time (by an authors professionalism) I'm adding this to my pull list.
I know, it really looks like the comic of the future IMO
This image always cracked me up.
My gosh, could you imagine how cool it would be if midnighter was a skin in the next batman game? I would never play as any other character
That was the best thing about Finer Worlds and their later early appearances, how little foot-dragging there was in Midnighter and Apollo (or the rest of that Stormwatch/Authority). They tackled things directly. They took care of things straightaway. (And ruled the Earth. Yay! Violent dictators! Yay!)
Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)
Midnighter is included in a post I wrote here: http://www.stdcheck.com/blog/comic-book-superheroes-hiv-immune-stds/
titled Comic Book Superheroes & HIV: Who Is Immune and Who Isn’t?
Feel free to take a look!
I was already onboard for the new MIDNIGHTER series, but that interview makes me want it in my hands NOW!
Only a week to go! I'm looking forward to seeing who his supporting cast. Maybe seeing midnighter's family too?
Does he have a family, though? I thought everything about his life got erased when he became Midnighter. Who knows if he even had living relatives back then.
Gay people often create new families of their own with friends, but somehow I don't see Midnighter fitting within that context. Should be interesting to see him interact with everyday people.
We don't know if he has a family which I'm fascinated by. That's something I definitely want to see explored in his solo series.
Obviously by family I mean mum and dad not something dumb like a wife and kids
Multiveristy Comics has a new interview with Steve Orlando: Violence, Justice, and Loving Your Job
Everything he says about this books sound just about perfect, so excited for this to come out!
Preview is phenom.
