Happy B-Day to one of the best (and almost rare) Writer and Artist to work on the F4.

Reminds me that I need to collect the rest of Byrne's FF omnis. Such a great and definitive era for the Four.

After seeing homecoming today it really made me hope for an MCU FF movie someday.

I really believe they'd nail it.

Let's pay our respects to the recently departed wife of Stan Lee, Joan Lee, whom Stan credited with helping him create the Fantastic Four:
Lee has credited Joan with helping him create the Fantastic Four team right before he planned on quitting Marvel Comics. Joan reportedly convinced Stan to write a comic he was proud of before leaving the publisher. That comic ended up being Fantastic Four, the characters of which endure in comic and movie form to this day.

Thank you, Joan, for inspiring Stan to create our beloved FF. A shame she didn't live to see a revived FF title.

She will be missed, especially by those who truly knew and loved her.

It's a shame that there is no FF anymore, it's surely one of the most unique comics of all time.

True. I believe that was the case, but in the decades other comics have caught up with it. As a result it no longer stood out.

I honestly was just thinking about DC getting the FF. Maybe they would treat them better....

There would be a worthy place for them in the DCU too. The FF's DC counterparts (the Challengers of the Unknown) don't the exposure or intrigue of the audience like the FF do. That and the DC smart guys (Ray Palmer, Dr Magnus, Mr Terrific) could learn a thing or two from our man Reed.

    Didn't know that FF/Superman team-up existed.

Why does Sue's forcefield in that corner box look like one of Speedball's attacks?

    No idea. Byrne being Byrne.

Superman and his mythos seem to crossover/fold in with the Fantastic Four's quite nicely though.

    Nice covers!

How much more powerful did Superman become with the Power Cosmic? What additional powers did he gain?
