Recasting is fine (though not necessary), but please don't reboot again...
Details leaked in emails laid out a plan that had Spider-Man appearing in Civil War before starting a new series of movies in which he is older and already well established as a hero. So fears of an origin story (if that's what you mean by "reboot") can probably be put to rest.
This situation isn't entirely new to Marvel. Remember, Hulk was technically a reboot as well. They solved that problem by containing the origin in the opening credits. I reckon they'll do something similar. It's not like it's a complicated story, it's only 11 pages long.
Miller was right.
I'm sorry, but I'm approaching it as another vehicle for Batman. I mean, rightly so because as the next quote states...
Marvel's been churning out multiple successful films between the Batman ones. I'm not really sure Batman is much of a threat anymore. The sky is the limit for Marvel now with Spider-Man being added to the MCU and Stars Wars being added to the publishing division.
Poor Andrew Garfield. He was a great Spider-Man.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
There is no way Spider-Man is not going to join the Avengers. The collective eyeballs of every Disney exec turned to dollar signs at the mere prospect.
Imagine all the merchandising revenue a bunch of Spider-Man/Avengers crossover stuff is gonna bring in.
