Default Would you prefer the new MCU Spider-Man to be Peter Parker or Miles Morales?

Now that the news is out that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures will collaborate on bringing Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's being described as the following:

"New Spider-Man Will Appear First in an Upcoming Marvel Film Within Marvel’s Cinematic Universe."

So, the role will most likely be recast and no mention of Peter Parker anywhere yet. And while Avi Arad had previously disregarded bringing Miles Morales to film, is there a chance that could happen now under Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal's partnership? Or would Marvel be willing to retread ground already covered with Peter Parker and his origins in the Sony films?

And with Miles Morales seemingly being integrated into the comic books Marvel Universe within the Secret Wars event, is synergy being prepared for him to show up in their Cinematic Universe?

Which web slinger would you prefer to see on film joining the MCU?

Spider-Gwen! Or to get really left field, Spider-Punk.

Miles could be interesting, but him being so young could rob his solo of any sort of romantic sub-plot. And you know Spidey's gotta have his ladies.

I'd go with Peter because he's one of my favorite characters in fiction, and I'd also like to see him interacting with the other MCU heroes. Having said that, Miles would be awesome too, so it's really a win-win for me either way.

Peter. The best way to introduce Miles is get Toby and Garfield and do a "Spider-Verse" type story.

I answer Peter. Let's see Marvel's big screen take on his good ol' boy. But eventually, I would be pleased seeing a Miles there too.

    However,

Well, he and Ultimate Kate Bishop have been going out for a while. I don't see why it wouldn't translate to a movie. Not every romance has to be adult (nor occupy a big chunk of a movie - well worked, short scenes can convey a lot and be more powerful than 30 minutes of not so good development).

If Spider-Gwen can get a mention then so can Anya - Our Spider-Girl.

How would you explain two Peter Parkers who look absolutely nothing alike? They couldn't even pass as relatives. A movie with alternate versions of Peter Parker would not work unless the same actor played them all. I could not suspend my disbelief enough if you tried to tell me that Tobey and Andrew are the same guy. Bad idea that will never happen.

Uh, audiences have already accepted that Tobey and Andrew are playing the same character.
    Miller was right.

I LOVE Peter but Miles wouldn’t be another rehash of the same story. So I am voting for Miles.

It actually is a pretty dumb question. I love Mile Morales and am stoked he'll be (hopefully) in the regular Marvel U post-SW but, honestly, why would Marvel want to f*ck with their most iconic hero after they've finally gotten the ability to affect his cinematic portrayal? This is something they've been waiting for years upon years - to call the shots concerning their flagship hero. To do anything but show the world how they'd handle him on film would be the most retarded move ever. It'd be like if Warners/DC had had to sit back while other people made Batman movies and when they finally got the chance to do their own, they said "Eh, I don't know about Bruce Wayne as Batman. How about Jean-Paul Valley?" That'd be pretty stupid, right?

So no, Marvel won't be doing anything other than Peter Parker as Spider-Man. Is Miles a terrific character and a great addition to the Spider mythos? Of course. Might we see a live action Miles along side Peter in the movies one day? Possibly. That'd be pretty awesome. But you don't kick aside the classic original just because.

This. And who says Peter needs to be white? they made nick fury black... I personally wouldnt want to see Donald Glover play Spider-man though. I would like to see a big name there to replace people leaving the roster like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans. I would call up Joseph Gordon-Levitt and lock him in for 3 solo films with an option for 4 and 5 and 4-6 appearances in other films. He would be perfect. Skip the origin crap that we all know and just drop him into the movie like he was always there.
    Pull List:
DC: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Action Comics, Detective Comics, Green Lanterns, The Flash, Aquaman, Titans, Justice League, HJATGL, Supergirl, Superwoman, DC Bombshells
Marvel: CANCELLED (good luck with your seasonal approach and constant reboots... I'll miss the characters though)
    Zenescope: Grimm Fairy Tales
